Study Permit 申請 - 状況問い合わせ

現在、Temporary Resident Status (ビザ免除) でカナダに滞在中です。
1ヶ月ほど前に郵送でバッファローのカナダ領事館に Study Permit を申請しましたが返信がまだ届きません。
この場合、直接領事館に行って状況を問い合わせることは可能でしょうか？
また、Study Permit 申請中に Temporary Resident Status でカナダを出国しても再入国できますか？
そして、今後もし、Study Permit 申請中に Temporary Resident Status が終わってしまった場合、領事館から返信が届くまでカナダに滞在することは可能ですか？
ご存知の方、よろしくお願いします。
バッファローの場合、28日前の書類ですらまだ60%の完了率なので、1ヶ月だとまだ終わってないだけだと思う。

郵送、registered で送ったんですよね？
郵送先に届いているか、トラックしました？
ちなみに領事館に直接行っても、個別の進捗状況は教えてくれませんよ。
むしろ領事館に直接行くなら、そのままその場で学生ビザ申請したほうが早いと思うけど(苦笑)

運次第です。
残った日数によっては、入国できない可能性も高い(特に、日本への帰国のチケットを持っていない場合)です。

これはImplied statusで可能です。

これには再度申請手数料の支払いが必要では？
Temporary Resident Status 終了後も合法的に滞在できるのであれば、再入国拒否のリスクをとらず、カナダで申請の返信を待つことにします。
Implied statusって国内申請だけに当てはまるのかと思ってました。
国外申請でも同じなんですね。

18.2. Loss of temporary resident status
If a worker, student or temporary resident has lost temporary resident status only because of the expiry of their status, they must apply within 90 days of the expiry date, for restoration of status and pay the appropriate cost recovery fee. Officers will restore current status of visitor, student or
worker rather than issue a TRP so as to avoid giving the individual greater privileges. See section 5.5 above and R182.

24. Implied status
(Replaces OB 092 – January 15, 2009)
A temporary resident must apply to extend their period of authorized stay before it ends. If they have done so, their period of authorized stay as a temporary resident is extended by law until a decision is made [R183(5)]. Such a person is considered to have implied status as a temporary resident during that period.
If a temporary resident applies for renewal of their work or study permit and their permit expires before a decision is made, R186(u) and R189 (the right to continue working or studying under the same conditions pending a determination of their application for renewal) apply only as long as
the person remains in Canada.
