以下、「こころ」６月のお知らせです。
震災一年を機に、一気に震災関連のニュースが減り、
悲しいほど風化が急速化しているように思います。
「こころ」では毎月１０日（日本の１１日）に、皆で黙祷を捧げます。
震災を風化させたくない、忘れたくない方々、一緒に続けていきませんか。

皆様：

「こころ」は月に一度、東日本大震災の被災者の方々と共に、世界中の人が人種、宗教、国境を越え、祈る会です。今月はＮＹ時間6月10日（日）午後11時＜日本時間11日（月）正午＞に一斉に祈りを捧げます。どうか、お時間が合えば参加してください。お時間が合わない方も、どうかこの日に共に祈りを捧げましょう。

昨年3月の東日本大震災とその後の福島第1原子力発電所の事故は本当に痛ましいものでした。被災した地域が復興への歩みを進め、大災害から学んだ日本や東北の将来が良い方向に向かって欲しい、被災された方々の心の痛みが少しづつでも和らいでいってくれたら、被災された方々の苦しみが少しづつでも癒えていってくれたら、と強く願っています。

とはいえひとくくりに被災された方と言っても、その苦しみや悲しみは様々でしょう。地震や津波でご家族や家、お友達や仕事、または大切なものを無くされた方と、たとえ命は助かっても地震や津波被害、原発事故後の放射能汚染でふるさとを出なくてはならなった方、小さいお子さんの健康を心配しながらも福島近隣にとどまっている方。大きな心の痛みを抱えられているとはいえ、感じ方はそれぞれ異なるのでしょう。

毎月祈るというこころの活動について、「とても良いことだと思います。祈りというのは立場や環境などを超え、誰にでも送ることができるものですから」と言ってくださった方がいました。今、この瞬間に苦しんでいる方、悲しんでいる方のつらさがほんの少しでも和ぎますように、そのような気持ちで私達は祈ります。被災した方々の心に、ただただ温かく、優しいエネルギーを送るために、ご一緒に祈りませんか。今月の「こころ」は、ＮＹ時間6月10日（日）午後11時＜日本時間11日（月）正午＞です。

Dear all:

“Kokoro” holds a circle of prayer once a month with people from all
over the world and people from the afflicted areas in Japan. On June
10th at 11 p.m. New York time (11th at 12 p.m. noon in Japan), we ask
you to join us.

The Higashi Nihon Earthquake and the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant
accidents in March 2011 were truly tragic. We hope that reconstruction
in the stricken areas will move forward, that Japan and Tohoku
(northeast Japan) will step toward a brighter future. We strongly
hope that the victims’ pain will ease little by little and their
suffering will heal day by day.

The sorrow and losses experienced by the victims vary. There are
people who lost beloved family members, homes, close friends, jobs or
precious belongings in the quake and tsunami. There are people who
survived but had to leave their hometown due to radioactive
contamination around the Fukushima nuclear plant. There are people who
remained where they were but have to live in fear of radiation
exposure, especially for their children. All must be in a great deal
of pain, but must feel it differently.

"Kokoro" means heart in Japanese. One lady, referring to our monthly
session, said, “It's an absolutely great thing to do because prayers
are for anybody. Prayers can go beyond everything”. We pray for those
who are suffering at this moment. We wish to shoulder some of their
pain even for a little bit. Let us pray together to send our warm and
gentle healing energy to the victims’ hearts. This month, KOKORO will
give prayers on June 10th at 11 p.m. New York time (11th at 12 p.m.
noon in Japan).
