Hello, My name is Miyuki, 23 years old Japanese girl. I want to know some non-japanese people. I like japan, but i want to practice my english. If i only play around with Japanese people, i can't improve my english. If someone can teach me english, i am very happy. if anyone is interest, please email me with your introduction briefly. thank you. Sorry for my poor english.

日本人向け掲示板じゃない所に行った方がいいと思いますよ。
ココは日本人同士が日本語で情報交換する所なので
日本人以外の数は圧倒的に少ないし、
いても日本語に興味があったりする人が多いので、
英語じゃなくて日本語で話したい人になると思います。

Are you looking for a language exchange partner or just want someone to teach you English? If language exchnge partner, you might be able to find one (or two). But when you meet someone who is kind enough to teach you English for free with no exchange..... What is the chatch?

I think the best way to be around English speakers, take some courses at the local community centre or join the group that shares the same passion you have. They might not teach you English but when you are around them and enjoy what you do with them, you will get used to communicate in English. Because you have no choice.

トピ主さんはカナダに住んでいるんですよねぇ？
図書館やカフェや掲示板があるところに、沢山、英語のチューターになりたいって人の電話番号が貼ってありますよ？待っているんじゃなくて、自分から連絡してみてはどうですか？

それに、買い物していても、ＴＶを観ていても、映画を観ていても、身の回りの雑用でも、
住んでいれば、全てが英語の勉強の教材ですよ。
英語の上達はそこから始まるんじゃないのかなぁ？

If you are interested in meeting Canadians, other Japanese people like yourself, and those with an interest or connection to Japan i would invite you to check out the Canada Japan Society. (http://canadajapansociety.blogspot.com/, www.cjst.org).

We are an independant, non-profit group that's been around for over 25 years with a goal of bringing better understanding between Japanese and Canadian cultures.

We've got a variety of events, including our monthly "Ichimoku-kai" or "First Thursday Party"...the first Thursday of every month at Manpuku Restaurant. It's an informal, social gathering with lots of inexpensive drink and food specials,door prizes, and interesting people! It's a great place to meet new people with a connection or interest in Japan , informally network, learn about Canada from Canadians, practice your English and/or Japanese, and have fun!

Making some real life friends would be your best bet. I know it's difficult but try volunteering at organizations like UNICEF, Red Cross, and so on.

Meeting people online is always going to be dangerous, especially for girls.

まず、日本語での返信でごめんなさい。

私も返信20さんに賛成です。
焦っているのかもしれませんが、ここでの友達募集？が英語上達の近道だとは思えませんし、何より安全性等に問題があると思います。
また、教えてもらえると嬉しいとありますが、ボランティアでですか？
お金を払う気があるなら他の方がおっしゃるようにチューターをあたるべきだと思います。
また、単に英語のシャワーを浴びたいだけなら公共の場で集中して聴くのも有効ですが、文法や語彙も伸ばしたいのであれば英語の堪能な日本人の友人を作って、英語で話してもらう（かつニュアンスが難しい場面は日本語で解説してもらう）のが一番だと思います。
ネイティブの文法の観念は日本と同じではありませんし、また近年の教育問題のせいもあり、今のカナダの若者はスペリングが滅茶苦茶で学力レベルがかなり低いです。
「英語で会話してくれる女友達募集」ということであればこの板でも有効なのではないでしょうか？

英語にかじりつこうとする姿勢は素晴らしいと思います。
努力が実られることをお祈りしています。
